Launched your website – Now what?

Tell people about it! Drive traffic to your website, however you can. Social media is a great place to start, and if you have an email list, send an email sharing the news. Don’t forget about search traffic! Be sure your new site is configured so that google can index it, and optimize your content to help position your website for higher ranking. (If you are a client of mine, I include all these basic SEO functions with each and every build.)

If you don’t know who is visiting, where they’re coming from, or how long they stay, it’s impossible to know how effective your website efforts are. Google Analytics and Google Search Console work together to give you all the data you’ll need to make shifts and changes to improve your conversions and increase sales.(Again, if you are a client of mine, I set up analytics and search console on each and every build – reach out if you a client and want me to share your analytics data with you)

Don’t neglect this! If you’re running a WordPress website, routine maintenance is super important. Neglecting plugin and WordPress updates can mean website features will stop working, will impact your search rankings and can also be a security risk.
