Adobe will stop hosting existing sites on Business Catalyst on March 26th 2020. So if this is you, then you need to take notice.
I have had a few enquiries of late and now a few clients whose websites, I have migrated from a business catalyst platform over to WordPress platform.
There must have been a very successful Business Catalyst sales force in Wollongong back in the day, because there are many small local business websites around whom are in or soon to be in a very unfortunate situation.
I know myself, working for a small telecommunications firm in Wollongong in earlish 2000’s, I was an early adapter of the Business Catalyst model. I remember training on it and at the time it was well worth its weight in gold. However as technology evolves, so must we. My choice to migrate websites across to WordPress, is due to the fact that WordPress has stood the test of time (and gets stronger and stronger as the years go by.) Once starting off as a blogging platform, its capability today far outreaches that of many of its counterparts.
So using WordPress, I can migrate as much or as little content as you desire. Below is a list of what I can migrate from Adobe Business Catalyst to WordPress:
- Web Apps
- Secure Zones
I can also rebuild any custom functionality and recreate your design as a mobile-friendly and responsive WordPress theme.
If you have a shopping cart on your existing business catalyst site, I can move products to WooCommerce. The migration process supports full attributes and variations, along with all of the basic details, such as categorisation, tagging, description, price, sales price and more.
I take every possible step to retain existing URL structure. In rare occasions where this is not possible I will implement 301 redirects to ensure no loss in search engine visibility.
I can migrate all existing meta titles and descriptions to WordPress. I use the number one rated SEO plugin for WordPress, Yoast SEO. Yoast provides a number of additional built-in features and options that will help give your site the initial visibility it deserves.
If you want more information, please get in touch. Pricing will vary depending on functionality and the size of the existing website. Don’t leave it to late, as it is far easier to rebuild from an current existing website, then to have to begin again from scratch – which is what will happen, if not actioned before March 26 2020
